Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role is vital in providing high-quality care to our residents in a care home environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A driving licence is preferred as the role may involve travel for home care visits.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' health or behaviour to senior staff.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety within the care home, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with mobility and transportation of residents, including driving when necessary for home care visits.
- Engage in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
- A valid driving licence is an advantage for roles involving travel between locations.
- A caring attitude with a genuine interest in supporting individuals with diverse needs.
