Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including care homes and home care environments. Your primary focus will be on assisting with daily living activities, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care while promoting their independence and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support the implementation of care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Drive to patients' homes when required, providing care in a familiar environment.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
- Engage patients in social activities to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for all patients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Strong communication skills in Welsh , both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of working independently when required.
- Proficiency in IT skills for maintaining patient records and using healthcare software systems.
- Experience or knowledge of care plans is advantageous for understanding patient needs.
- Previous experience in home care or care home settings is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
