Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring the well-being of our clients. Your ability to communicate effectively and follow care plans will be crucial in delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients in daily living activities, such as meal preparation and medication management.
- Follow individual care plans to ensure personalised support for each client.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote a collaborative care environment.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes, ensuring all information is up-to-date and secure.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients as required.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is important.
- Basic IT skills are required for documentation and record-keeping tasks.
