The Greenshaw Learning Trust is ‘Always Learning’

We’re looking for a dedicated Head of Year (Non Teaching) to join our friendly, supportive team at Orchard Park High Schoo, part of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, from September 2025.

About the role:

  • Take responsibility for raising the standards of academic success, conduct and character development in your designated year group or groups
  • Set, through personal example, an appropriate tone and expectation for our young people to support of the overall school direction and ethos
  • Maintain high expectations of all students with regards to uniform and equipment, attitude to learning, effort, resilience, achievement, politeness, kindness, integrity and conduct around school and in the community
  • Support the successful running of the out of lesson provision (OLP)
  • Provide support to the inclusion team
  • Maintain regular contact with families about children in your year groups and others
  • Contribute to the on-call, out of lesson provision and detention rota
  • Facilitate effective CPD for other staff
  • Promote high levels of written and oral academic language and develop students’ knowledge of the world
  • Demonstrate relentless positivity and ambition for all young people
  • Be a committed, highly competent, energised and reflective individual
  • Support the Headteacher and wider Senior Leadership Team with whole school priorities
  • Work alongside colleagues within the school and across the Greenshaw Learning Trust to continually assess our provision
