About Samsung Food
At Samsung Food, we’re trying to build a more sustainable future by inspiring home cooks everywhere to tackle holistic health through nutrition and reduce food waste. We’re a fully-owned, independently-operated Samsung subsidiary (acquired in 2019) primed to grow on top of Samsung’s global resources and hardware ecosystem. We are passionate about what we build and who we build for within one of the world’s largest corporations to bring our highly-rated native app experiences to tens of millions of TVs, wearables, and kitchen appliances in the years to come.
Samsung Food has a 4.8 star rating on both the iOS and Android store, was included in Google Play’s Best of 2020 Everyday Essentials list, has been featured on the Apple app store numerous times, and was nominated for a 2021 Webby Award.
We’re a remote-first, globally distributed team of 100+ people based across the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia, and everywhere in between. We’ve been fully distributed since 2016 and pioneered many of the practices which are commonplace in remote workplaces today.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Head of Strategic Delivery & Execution to drive clarity, pace, and accountability across how we plan, build, and deliver at Whisk. This is a highly visible leadership role, reporting to our COO with regular interaction across Whisk and Samsung leadership, and exposure to our Board.
You’ll lead a new function focused on improving how we work; Not by enforcing control, but by designing clarity. You'll shape our delivery model from the ground up — rethinking roles, rituals, and systems across teams to ensure we ship the right things, faster and better.
This role sits at the heart of our execution: Independent from Product, Engineering, and Design, but working closely with them as well as Legal, Finance, Analytics, Customer Support, and others to enable delivery across our entire organization and with a variety of Samsung divisions and teams.
What You’ll Do
- Build and lead a new Strategic Delivery & Execution function
- Design and own the systems that drive prioritization, planning, and delivery — internally and in partnership with Samsung
- Redesign and govern cross-functional and team rituals where needed (e.g., retros, standups, check-ins)
- Clarify roles, ownership, and accountability across teams and processes
- Track and report delivery health, identify risks, and make performance visible
- Act as a systems-level coach and delivery partner across the org
- Hire and manage a small team of program/delivery managers
What You Bring
- Experience building delivery models from scratch — especially in environments with broken, absent, or misaligned SDLCs
- Experience navigating resistance to process change — with an ability to influence without overstepping
- Comfort telling the truth with care — you surface hard issues and help the org solve them
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills — you’ve worked closely with product, engineering, design, legal, and business teams
- Hands-on leadership style — you’re happy rolling up your sleeves and then scaling your impact through others
- Experience across both startup and large corporate environments — with empathy for how both work
- Excellent communication — crisp, context-aware, and effective across time zones and varying levels of English proficiency.
- Background in Program Management, Product Operations, Project Management, or similar delivery functions
- Experience in consumer software or apps
Culture Fit
We are a small, fast-moving team inside a larger organization, owned by Samsung but culturally distinct. We value autonomy, flexibility, and high accountability. You should thrive in a flat, collaborative environment and be comfortable navigating the tension between startup pace and corporate dependencies.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building from scratch, solving problems across functions, and shaping Whisk and Samsung to build, deliver, and monetize software.
Why This Role
- This is a builder’s job. We’re crafting industry-leading solutions, and time-to-market is everything — you’ll be the enabler if we’re successful. You’ll get to shape how a high-impact company inside Samsung executes at scale — with autonomy, visibility, and impact.
- We’re 100% remote, with a flexible culture and a global team. You’ll work across time zones and across worlds, helping us move fast without losing cohesion.
- Contract-based, full-time role (40 hours/week, depending on workload) with a long-term commitment. If you’re based in the US or UK, this role would be offered as a full-time employee (FTE) position.
