Ocean Technologies Group (OTG) is seeking an experienced Head of Product Marketing to lead our global product marketing strategy and execution. This high-impact role is perfect for a strategic leader who can drive product positioning, develop go-to-market strategies, and execute successful product launches while managing a top-tier product marketing team.

As a strategic leader, you will collaborate across departments to shape OTG’s messaging, ensure seamless product communications, and implement initiatives that align with our business goals. We are looking for a dynamic leader with a proven track record in product marketing, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced global environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Product Marketing team by coaching and mentoring members to apply external best practices and frameworks as experts in product marketing and growth marketing
  • Define and communicate a unified view of Total Addressable Market (TAM), Serviceable Available Market (SAM), and market segmentation
  • Track and report on our current market penetration and pipeline by market, region, and product
  • Define and manage a prioritised overview of new business and cross-sell opportunities by market, region, and product
  • Lead the creation, maintenance, and utilization of Buyer and User personas and workflow outlines
  • Develop and maintain value proposition statements and messaging
  • Define a suite of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics that align with product marketing goals, and communicate results and drivers on a monthly basis
  • Manage the Marketing Plan covering target sectors, core products, and growth countries
  • Regularly present updated plans in response to changing market needs and results
  • Report on and communicate the return on marketing investments and resources allocated to product retention, cross-selling, acquisition, recurring revenue targets, and campaign goals
  • Establish effective two-way communication with the Product Team to understand and document the evolving competitive landscape and conduct win/loss analyses; agree on changes in product and go-to-market priorities based on insights
  • Centralise and manage all planned initiatives as a comprehensive, ongoing program of work, and report on progress and impact monthly
  • Contribute to the customer data strategy and lead management processes alongside Performance Marketing
  • Oversee Content Marketing plans to support go-to-market activities while evaluating and selecting content partners
  • Manage and ensure the effective use of analytics to track initiatives handled by the Product Marketing team
  • Contribute to the outsourcing and partnership strategy in collaboration with Performance Marketing
  • Support individual training and development plans aligned with essential competencies and knowledge requirements

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required:

  • Extensive Marketing experience within a SAAS or solutions led B2B organisation including proven track record in Product Marketing
  • Experience in leading a global Product marketing team
  • Marketing Degree or recognised Marketing qualification
  • Available to travel with notice for collaboration, training and team work with overseas colleagues
  • Able to travel to central London office location for collaboration, training and team work
Knowledge of;
  • Strategic marketing frameworks e.g. SWOT and PESTEL, Buyer journey mapping
  • The full marketing mix
  • B2B marketing techniques for demand generation and customer retention
  • Martech stack: Marketo, Salesforce, Tableau and Google analytics preferred
