About the role
We are seeking a visionary and strategic Head of Group Marketing to lead the transformation of our newly established Group marketing function (B2C and B2B).
This role will be pivotal in shaping and executing a unified global marketing strategy that drives growth, enhances brand equity, and delivers measurable impact across both B2B (Ferry and Logistics) and B2C (Passenger including Retail) areas of the DFDS business.
You will lead a diverse international team and collaborate closely with executive leadership, commercial teams, and digital stakeholders to ensure marketing is unlocking growth for the business.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a global marketing strategy aligned with the DFDS 2030 strategy.
- Lead the integration of B2B and B2C marketing efforts closely tied to business needs to deliver top line growth
- Ensure consistent group brand management and brand narrative across a broad spectrum of markets and key stakeholders (Communication, T&I (IT), Executive Management and Investor Relations).
- Champion a focus to increase commercial value creation and data driven decision making throughout the customer journey.
- Establish structured marketing processes and governance to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency across all campaigns and activities including sponsorships and events.
- Use data and metrics to make informed decisions, optimizing marketing effectiveness and resource allocation.
Drive the DFDS growth engine through core activities
- Improve DFDS category leadership in Ferry & Logistics
- Develop and execute strategies to grow customer lifetime value and enhance retention
- Support our retail and food & beverages offerings with visibility on offerings and sales promoting initiatives.
- Leverage data insights to refine marketing approaches, optimize resource allocation, and maximize return on investment.
Digital Marketing & Innovation
- Drive continuous evolution DFDS’s digital marketing capabilities, including performance marketing, SEO/SEM, CRM, automation, and analytics
- Expand our retail media strategy together with key business stakeholders.
- Foster innovation with AI, marketing technology and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Build, inspire, and manage a high-performing international marketing team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Routes and Business Units, T&I( IT), and Revenue Operations.
- Act as a key advisor to commercial leaders on marketing strategy and performance.
About you

- Experience in international or multi-market organizations; transportation, travel, or logistics industry experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to leverage data to deliver measurable business outcomes and inform strategic decisions
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
