About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Head of Entertainment to lead and develop the entertainment strategy across our holiday parks. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for curating and delivering exceptional entertainment experiences that delight guests, enhance brand loyalty, and drive repeat visits.
You will manage the full entertainment lifecycle – from concept and talent management to production and performance – ensuring high-quality, on-brand shows, events, and activities for all ages as well as creating a fantastic owner experience package.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Creative Leadership
- Develop and implement a seasonal entertainment strategy aligned with the park's brand, customer profile, and commercial goals.
- Lead the creative direction of shows, live performances, themed events, and guest activities.
- Continuously innovate the entertainment offering based on guest feedback, trends, and competitor analysis.
- Recruit, train, and manage the in-house entertainment managers, team, including performers, presenters, technicians and support team members.
- Coordinate third-party entertainers, contractors, and production companies as required.
- Foster a positive, high-performance culture focused on guest satisfaction and team development.
- Oversee daily entertainment schedules, technical rehearsals, and live show execution.
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations, licensing, and safeguarding policies.
- Work closely with other departments E.G Retail, Marketing, Owners Experience and caravan sales to integrate entertainment into the wider guest experience.
- Manage the entertainment budget, including team costs, production expenses, Agency Costs and equipment investment.
- Monitor performance metrics, ROI, and guest satisfaction scores to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote entertainment features through digital, on-site, and off-site channels.
- Proven experience in a senior entertainment or creative leadership role, ideally within the holiday park, resort, cruise, or leisure sector.
- Strong understanding of audience engagement across diverse age groups.
- Exceptional people management and communication skills.
- Experience in live event production, show design, or technical theatre is a strong advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure while maintaining a high standard of delivery.
- Working knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to public entertainment and events.
