Overview
Riverside Care Home are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence and a strong background in food preparation, cooking and baking. This role requires a creative individual who can develop innovative menus while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The Head Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, manage staff, and maintain a positive working environment.
Duties
- Lead the kitchen team in food preparation, cooking and baking.
- Develop and implement seasonal menus and residents preferences.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste..
Experience
- Proven experience as a Head Chef.
- Strong background in food preparation.
- Extensive knowledge of food safety practices.
- Previous experience in a care home kitchen.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- A passion for culinary and creativity in menu development.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 26 – 30 per week
