At Cutter & Squidge, we're passionate about creating delicious, innovative treats and we're looking for a dedicated Goods In & Inventory Operative to join our team.
What You'll Be Doing:
As our Goods In & Inventory Operative, you'll be the backbone of our inventory management and Warehouse flow. Reporting to the Production & Warehouse Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Accurately receiving, unloading, and inspecting incoming deliveries, noting any discrepancies or damages.
- Recording all goods in our Warehouse Management System (Linnworks is a plus!) and ensuring they're stored correctly.
- Conducting regular inventory counts (daily cycle counts, weekly/monthly stock takes) to maintain accuracy and investigate any variances.
- Managing chilled, frozen, and dry stock in line with Food Safety and company guidelines.
- Organising stock areas effectively using FIFO principles for safe and efficient rotation.
- Safely operating our counterbalance forklift and other warehouse equipment for loading and unloading (training can be provided if you're not experienced with counterbalance).
- Assisting the Despatch team with order preparation, including organising picks, packing, and palletising.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised warehouse and stock areas, adhering to all health, safety, and food safety standards.
- Monitoring inventory levels to prevent production delays and ensure key ingredients are always available.
- Collaborating effectively with Production, Despatch, and Operations teams to optimise stock flow and meet deadlines.
- Actively supporting colleagues across various warehouse functions and participating in cross-department support.
About You
- Previous Goods in and/or inventory counting experience in a Food Production environment.
- Ability to operate forklifts (counterbalance experience is a bonus!).
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy items.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational skills and a collaborative team player.
- Flexibility to work various shifts across a 7-day week and comfort working in ambient, chilled, and frozen environments.
- Fluent in English with effective communication and record-keeping abilities.
- Basic computer literacy, with the ability to quickly learn and use Warehouse Management Systems (Linnworks experience is a plus!).
- A positive attitude, strong initiative, and a commitment to high standards.
- A sound understanding of UK Health & Safety and Food Safety standards, with a dedication to adhering to all safety protocols.

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
