Join a team where technical expertise and product innovation come together to create garments that perform, fit, and inspire. As a Garment Technologist, you will play a key role in turning design ideas into high quality products that meet global standards and reflect brand excellence.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Drive continuous improvement in product quality, fit, construction, and consistency across all styles and size ranges
· Work across mens and womens workwear and outerwear, supporting multiple product categories from concept to production
· Create and issue graded size specifications for factories, with expertise in the United Kingdom, European, and United States markets
· Approve garments and provide expert guidance on fit, fabric performance, construction, and quality standards, ensuring alignment with brand expectations.
· Conduct risk assessments to evaluate fabric and trim suitability, ensure compliance with global safety regulations, and manage all testing processes, including lab report reviews and accurate wash care and labeling instructions.
· Oversee the full product development critical path, ensuring timely fit approvals, testing, and sealing, while managing incoming goods inspections and leading corrective actions to resolve any quality issues.
Qualifications / Requirements
· 5+ years of hands-on experience in garment technical development. A strong focus on workwear and outerwear across both menswear and womenswear categories is a plus.
· A confident understanding of fabric performance, trims, safety regulations, AQL standards, and global compliance, with willingness to travel overseas for CSR and production site inspections (if applicable).
· Strong communicator with a sharp eye for detail. Able to translate complex technical language into clear, actionable info for designers, buyers, and productions.
· Creative problem-solver and collaborative team player, with excellent listening skills and the initiative to lead projects independently when needed.
· Proven ownership of the full product development cycle, with a strong track record of driving improvements in fit, quality, and construction while proactively resolving issues before they impact delivery.
