Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Removalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring that all items are handled with care during the moving process. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Duties
- Load and unload items from vehicles, ensuring that all goods are securely packed and protected during transit.
- Drive removal vans or lorries to transport goods to various locations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service throughout the moving process.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks as required, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the organisation and management of warehouse operations when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and equipment used for removals.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a removalist or similar role is preferred but not essential.
- A valid driving licence with experience in commercial driving is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks, demonstrating physical fitness and stamina.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with clients and team members.
- Experience as a van driver or delivery driver is an advantage.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and teamwork is essential.
