Job Summary
The Front of House Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant's front-of-house activities. This position is hands on and responsible for overseeing staff, managing customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily front-of-house operations to ensure efficiency and high-quality service.
- Train, develop, and manage staff to enhance performance and maintain service standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain financial records.
- Utilize POS system for order processing and reporting.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen management to coordinate food production and service flow.
- Implement training programs focused on food safety, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and company policies regarding food handling and safety.
Skills
- Strong background in food service supervision, including experience in quick service & fine dining establishments.
- Proficient in cash handling and financial management within a restaurant setting.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in team management, training & development, and shift management.
- Knowledge of inventory control processes and budgeting practices in the hospitality industry.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle difficult situations gracefully.
- Experience in supervising staff within a restaurant environment, ensuring high levels of performance and morale.
- Background in hospitality management or related fields is advantageous.
