Job Overview
We are a small scale Butcher focusing on whole carcass butchery. Looking for a chef to help expand our offering.
We are in need of someone to help deep cleaning, food preparation and general cleaning.
Shift days and hours will be flexible but it would either be a few hours in the morning or a few hours in the afternoon (nothing past 7pm)
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped and ready for cooking.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, following all operational guidelines.
- Support the team in maintaining inventory levels by reporting shortages or needed supplies.
Skills
- Experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or catering environment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with a willingness to assist colleagues as needed.
- Basic culinary skills, including knife handling and cooking techniques.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and improving existing ones.
- Food Hygiene level 2 (desirable)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 10 per week
