Job Summary
The Food and Beverage Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our guests. This position involves assisting with the preparation, serving, and presentation of food and beverages in a variety of settings, including catering events and restaurant service. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages according to established standards.
- Serve food and drinks to guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of work areas, including dining spaces and kitchen facilities.
- Support catering operations by setting up and dismantling event spaces as required.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and potential allergens to provide accurate information to guests.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and practices at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
- Handle customer inquiries and feedback with professionalism and courtesy.
Skills
- Previous experience in catering or restaurant settings is highly desirable.
- Strong hospitality skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards.
- Barista experience is a plus, particularly for establishments serving coffee or specialty beverages.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with guests and colleagues effectively.
