Are you a creative and enthusiastic individual with an interest in flowers and a knack for engaging customers? We're seeking a friendly and sales orientated Flower Stall Seller to join our team and sell our beautiful blooms to customers at Millets Farm from mid August end of October.
Since launching on Instagram in September 2020, we've grown a community of over 100,000 wonderful followers and we're looking for a reliable, hardworking sales person to run the stall at Millets Farm from Wednesday - Sunday for 10 weeks.
Job description
As a Flower Market Stall Seller, you will be the face of our business, showcasing our exquisite flowers and providing exceptional service to customers. Your energy, product knowledge, and ability to create captivating displays (with training) will contribute to the success of our stall and leave a lasting impression on those who visit.
Responsibilities:
1. Customer Engagement:
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Engage customers in conversation, demonstrating a genuine interest in their floral needs and preferences.
- Provide knowledgeable guidance on different flower varieties, colours, arrangements, and care instructions (training given)
- Offer personalized recommendations and suggestions based on customers' occasions and preferences.
- Answer inquiries about pricing, availability, and special promotions.
- Direct customers to our PYO field less than 100m away for more variety and 'pick you own' experience
- Educate customers about our flower arranging courses and the process for booking
2. Sales and Merchandising:
- Display the visually appealing bouquets, floral arrangements, and gift packages
- Assist customers in selecting and customizing their flower choices to suit their preferences.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling point-of-sale systems.
3. Inventory Management:
- Maintain adequate stock levels, monitoring flower freshness and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Track inventory and communicate with the team to ensure a diverse and appealing selection of flowers.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure only the freshest and finest flowers are available for sale.
- Monitor and manage pricing labels, ensuring accuracy and visibility for customers.
4. Stall Maintenance:
- Keep the stall clean, organized, and visually appealing throughout the day.
- Arrange and maintain display fixtures, signage, and promotional materials.
- Coordinate with the team to ensure timely restocking of packaging materials and other supplies.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper handling and disposal of flowers.
Requirements:
- Interest in flowers and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage customers effectively.
- Sales-driven mindset with the ability to upsell and maximize revenue.
- Excellent customer service skills, including patience, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customer requests simultaneously.
- Basic math skills for accurate card transactions.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift flower arrangements or supplies.
- Previous experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in a floral or retail environment, is a plus.
