The Role
The customer experience is at the heart of everything we do and a delivery network is critical to the customer experience and business performance. Often, our drivers are the main in-person contact our customers share with Mi-Flues and as such our drivers are at the forefront of the customers relationship with us.
Due to continued growth and expansion we are seeking experienced, dynamic, and highly motivated personnel to help us deliver our parcels across East Midlands, South Yorkshire, North Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire UK (based at our Nottingham Branch).
We are seeking drivers for our 3.5ton vehicles so a CPC isn’t required.
- The start time is generally around 7am allowing vehicles to be loaded and on route by 8am.
- The finish time depends on the route and traffic.
- It is multi-drop delivering with on average 5-15 drops per day.
- A requirement to be able to lift 25kgs is necessary albeit lifting equipment is provided.
- No more than 3 points on driving licence and no former DUI need apply.
Main Responsibilities
- Delivering goods to multiple locations, ensuring goods are delivered on time and in optimal condition.
- Ensure all packages are handled appropriately - loading and unloading goods.
- Accurately complete daily vehicle safety checks and all delivery paperwork and informing management of any issues.
- Updating route, mileage and delivery logs via the relevant software/ Apps.
- Occasional working in the warehouse may be required.
- Drive safely and comply with all traffic laws and regulations.
Necessary Skills & Knowledge
Full UK Driving Licence
Hardworking, reliable, flexible and a good work ethic.
Good customer service skills, keeping clients happy and retain them.
Knowledge of the area.
An ability to concentration ensuring road safety.
Being able to work well independently.
The ability to remain calm under pressure, for example, when driving in inclement weather conditions.
Good eyesight and physical stamina.
Previous fleet experience.
