Reporting to the Management Accountant, Vicon is seeking to expand the team and is looking to add a proactive and skilled Finance Assistant, assisting in the fundamental duties of the finance department.

Vicon are currently Hybrid Working, a mix between working from home and the office. It is therefore essential that you are happy to work from home and travel to the Yarnton office as and when required. Probation period will be based in the office full time. Month End, Quarter End, End of Year periods and/or project work will typically require more time in the office.
Key Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to the following:
Accounts payable/receivable
Accounts payable/receivable
- Accounts payable – processing, payment, matching, reconciling and handling queries. This will be as required and across the group’s subsidiaries.
- Accounts receivable – assisting with debt collection
- Managing company credit cards – including matching claims to statements
- Cash claims – recording expenditure, reimbursements and reconciliations
- Electronic filing
Bank and Cash
- Managing cash books and bank reconciliations in multiple currencies
- Recording and communicating monies received
- Making cash book entries
Month end
Supporting the Finance team with the month end processes:
General
Supporting the Finance team with the month end processes:
- Reconciliation of the general ledger accounts
- Reconciliation of the bank accounts
- Ensure expenditure is correctly posted
- Update spreadsheets, templates and forms as necessary
General
- Assist with preparing credit assessments
- Assist with general ledger posting
- Undertaking specific analysis and tasks across the groups subsidiaries as required
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Required Skills:
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a comparable busy finance role
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise workload with excellent time management
Desirable Skills:
- Working knowledge of NetSuite
- Working knowledge of Salesforce
- Excel intermediate skills (Vlookup’s/pivots)
