This is a fantastic opportunity, working with our experienced team, to lead the expansion of our service to families in the Amesbury and Salisbury area.
You will work closely with parents with young children in group settings and in family homes in south Wiltshire. This Home-Start project aims to offer support to families in group sessions with a focus on parenting, family life, supporting children’s early learning, health, etc, to build confidence and break down isolation in a fun and welcoming setting. You will also establish Home-Start South Wiltshire within the local communities, building networks with local referrers (e.g. health visitors, early years providers) and recruiting local volunteers to support families and across the scheme.
You will need to have good communication skills, be self-motivated, able to plan your own workload, and work as part of a small team and in partnership with colleagues in other agencies. You will need experience of working with families with children under 5, a good knowledge or understanding of family life and a background in family support. Ideally you will also have experience of recruiting, supervising and developing volunteers.
If you think you would be suited for this rewarding post, vital to effectively delivering support services to families with children under 5 going through difficult times, we would love to hear from you.
