Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Experienced Domiciliary Care Staff to provide high-quality care to individuals in their own homes all across West Sussex from Shoreham / Worthing to Crawley/ Haywards heath and everywhere in-between.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in care settings, with the ability to support clients with various needs, including medication administration, behaviour management, and dementia care. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients while ensuring their safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care to clients in accordance with their individual care plans.
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with challenging behaviours.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in client health to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Proven experience in care or a related field is essential.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and first aid practices is required.
- Experience in dementia care is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively and compassionately.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in health and social care are preferred but not mandatory.
- A valid driving licence may be required depending on client locations.
