Global Services Ltd supplies a huge range of tools, spare parts, equipment and consumables to the ever-evolving superyacht, commercial shipping and cruise line industries worldwide.
Due to the continued growth of our UK and EU (Rotterdam) hubs, we are now looking to increase our team of Expeditors/ Sales Coordinators, based in our Exeter office, to help source and buy products and process our orders.
If you have a background in administration/data input, a keen eye for buying, selling and negotiating with supply chains and you are keen to hone your skills whilst building a career within the maritime industry, Global Services will give you full support and opportunity to do so.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process sales quotes by effectively interpreting customer requirements, ensuring the correct products and appropriate suppliers are identified and utilized
- Proactive follow up of all quotes to maximise conversion to orders.
- Process orders by selecting the correct products and suppliers, ensuring optimal pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Monitor deliveries from suppliers and follow up ETAs to complete orders in full, ready to ship.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to deliver optimal products and services to customers, ensuring clear communication and well-defined deliverables
- Organise worldwide collection of goods.
- Learn and develop new skills and attend relevant training.
- Work to deadlines.
Person Specifications/Attribute
- Strong attention to detail with a resourceful approach to meeting customer needs.
- Highly accurate data entry skills with a focus on efficiency and quality.
- IT literate, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
- Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels and using initiative to solve problems.
- Clear, empathetic, and positive communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and building strong relationships.
- Keen interest in market trends and industry intelligence, with a proactive attitude toward continuous learning.
Salary package is £25,777.00 plus monthly commission aligned to candidates results.
Hours are Monday to Friday 8.00-5.00 with 1 hour for lunch and additional breaks, based full time at our Exeter office.
