An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time, enthusiastic & highly motivated Events Sales Coordinator to join our passionate sales team at Mercure Barnsley Tankersley Manor Hotel & Spa. We are looking for a bubbly individual with bags of personality & a passion for sales.
Owned by BGAM Hotels who operate multiple branded hotels across the UK, Tankersley Manor is a 4-star hotel, operating under a Mercure franchise, located just off junction 36 of the M1 motorway.
Every day is different here at Tankersley Manor, which makes it a fantastic place to work. Our Coordinators are tasked in selling our event spaces that we have at here Tankersley Manor, working closely with both the commercial sales office manager, our cluster revenue manager & our national sales team.

Who we are looking for:
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated & personable in the way that they deal with people, someone who believes in delivering the best possible standards without exception & has the ability to plan & manage bookings in their entirety from concept to completion.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- A friendly, smiley, sociable & welcoming personality
- Pro-active sales skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confidence & self-motivation
- Being able to work unsupervised in a busy office environment
- Working as part of a team to ensure that all enquiries are dealt with efficiently
- Being able to communicate well with people of all levels
- Experience working in a similar hotel operation working with both Opera PMS & Opera S&C would be beneficial, but it is not a necessity
