Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to surveillance and loss prevention, ensuring that all security protocols are adhered to while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate and maintain CCTV systems, ensuring all footage is recorded accurately for future reference.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting thorough investigations as necessary.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property.
- Provide first aid assistance when required, ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals on site.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, maintaining accurate records for review.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary, providing support during investigations or emergencies.
- Engage with staff and visitors in a professional manner, fostering a sense of safety and security within the environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a security role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques will be beneficial in this role.
- Certification in first aid is desirable; candidates should be willing to undertake training if not already certified.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail are essential for identifying potential security risks.
