• Skilled craftsperson will be employed on work appropriate to their specialist skills.
• They will have the ability to fulfil their duties with a total commitment to versatility and will be suitably trained to acquire elements of other skills, as required, reaching levels of flexibility and competence to enable them to achieve and apply their abilities, where required.
• To carry out a range of maintenance duties across the Foundation Trust premises, including repair of faults in mechanical and electrical installations; plant and equipment, painting, building fabric, grounds and gardens and general support across all core-engineering trades.

Carry out planned preventative maintenance, installation, modification and repairs to Hospital plant equipment and property including external doors, fire doors, access doors, wooden, plastic and aluminum windows, flooring, suspended ceilings, walls, fire proofing, electrical and mechanical closers, various types of locks and locking mechanisms, interior and external signage, fencing and various fixing and fixtures, glass and glazing. Maintain decorations both internal and external of all Trust properties and cleanliness of fabric, plant and equipment.

Manufacture, assemble and erect new work including shelving, notice boards, display systems, frames, screens, doors and frames, screens and partitions.

Working with speed and accuracy, use of relevant power, hand tools and fixed machinery, use of fire tools and maintenance of same.
