We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment while developing essential industry skills for future career.
Duties will include, but not limited to;
- Assisting/observing vet and farrier.
- Mucking out, sweeping
- Tack cleaning
- Assisting with preparation of horses for competition.
- Assisting with handling of youngstock including foals.
- Riding opportunities including backing and breaking.
- Assisting instructors in lessons.
- Instructor training and opportunity to gain qualification in this.
- Communicating with customers.
Desired Skills and Qualities
- Previous equine experience required.
- Interest in teaching and riding
- Good communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- GCSE’s, or equivalent in maths and English desired, but not essential.
- Must not hold Level 2 or higher in equine.
Future prospects
- Employment within the organisation if a position is available.
Training
- Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment. The applicant will be working towards a Level 2 Equine Groom apprenticeship.
- The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
- The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
Things to consider
- The apprentice will be working to build a portfolio of evidence and will be required to pass a knowledge test and an End Point Assessment (EPA) to complete the apprenticeship.

Pay: From £7.55 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
