Role Summary
We are currently seeking a proactive and organised Environmental Advisor to join our team on a permanent basis. This role plays a key part in maintaining and developing our ISO 14001 management system and accreditation, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to environmental and operational excellence in a dynamic and growing business.
This role also offers the opportunity to support Wrights of Twycross in developing its Net Zero Roadmap, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions reporting. You’ll assist with data collection using a carbon tracking system, ensuring compliance with client requirements and contribute to our Carbon/Net Zero Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the implementation and management of improvements to our ISO 14001 environmental systems.
- Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits.
- Create and conduct environmental training sessions and materials
- Assist with the Emergency Preparedness initiative
- Collect and collate environmental and compliance-related data, including but not limited to waste transfer records and energy usage.
- Maintain accurate document control and record-keeping processes.
- Assist with the creation of environmental processes and procedures
Candidate Profile
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident and clear communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to a variety of tasks and priorities.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- ISO 14001 Internal Auditor Certified.
- NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience supporting or maintaining ISO-accredited management systems (ISO 14001 and/or ISO 9001).
- Working knowledge of environmental legislation, compliance obligations, and sustainability best practices.
Additional Information:
- Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 subject to skills and experience.
- Contract: Permanent
- Location: Twycross, Warwickshire/Leicestershire border – own transport required due to remote location. Applicants must live close enough to be able to commute to Twycross on a daily basis.
- Hours: 45 hours per week Monday to Friday (flexibility on hours will be considered)
