Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Skills Tutor to join our team. In this role, you will deliver personalised training and development sessions to individuals who are part of the Employment Restart Scheme. You will work with participants to help them enhance their employability skills, boost confidence, and support them in securing long-term, meaningful employment.

The purpose of Realise Futures is to improve the wellbeing, mental health and employability of disabled and disadvantaged people whilst contributing to the economy in our communities. Realise Futures operates as a hybrid company combining commercial trade with personal and government funded public services. Our aim is to create opportunities for people to succeed in work, learning and life through three company departments, Learning Coaching and Advice, Employment and RF Works (seven distinct Social Businesses).

Key Responsibilities:

  • deliver high-quality, interactive training sessions on employability skills such as CV writing, interview techniques, job search strategies, time management and communication skills
  • provide one-on-one coaching and guidance to individuals to address their specific needs and career goals
  • assess participant progress and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement and engagement
  • collaborate with other team members to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to participant support
  • maintain accurate records of participant progress and achievements
  • encourage and motivate participants to stay committed to their personal development and job search.

Specific qualifications or training essential to the job are:

  • minimum of Level 3 teaching qualification
  • minimum of Level 3 subject specific qualification or established expertise
  • minimum Level 2 in English and mathematics
  • ICT Office skills and Internet usage
  • relevant subject at degree level is essential for tutors delivering English and Maths outcomes.
