The Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It): Email Marketing Extraordinaire!
As our Email Marketing Specialist, you'll be the driving force behind our email communications, crafting engaging campaigns that resonate with our audience and drive results. This is a part-time role (16-20 hours per week) to start, with the expectation of transitioning to full-time within 6 months as you prove your skills and become an indispensable part of the team. Think of it as a trial period to show us how amazing you are - and we’re betting you’re pretty amazing!
Here's what you'll be diving into:
- Strategic Campaign Development: Conceptualize, develop, and execute engaging email marketing campaigns across our product ranges (steel work, staircases, steel buildings, silk clothing, precision engineered components, hydraulic systems and garage equipment like commercial pit jacks) to drive sales, nurture leads, and boost brand awareness.
- Content Creation Champion: Craft compelling email copy, killer subject lines, and visually appealing designs that capture attention and convert clicks.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Analyse campaign performance, track key metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions), and use insights to optimize future campaigns for maximum impact.
- Segmentation Superstar: Develop and manage segmented email lists to deliver personalized experiences that resonate with our diverse customer base.
- Automation Ace: Build and optimize automated email workflows (welcome series, abandoned cart emails, etc.) to streamline communication and nurture leads effectively.
- A/B Testing Advocate: Continuously experiment with different email elements (subject lines, content, calls-to-action) to identify what works best and improve campaign performance.
- Compliance Guru: Ensure all email marketing activities comply with data privacy regulations (GDPR, etc.) and industry best practices.
Your (Super Fun) Day-to-Day Might Look Like This:
- Crafting killer email campaigns: From captivating subject lines to compelling body copy and irresistible calls to action, you'll be writing emails that make our subscribers want to click!
- Segmenting and targeting: You'll be diving deep into our customer data to create targeted campaigns that deliver the right message to the right people at the right time.
- Automating and optimizing: Setting up automated email flows to nurture leads, welcome new customers, and keep our audience engaged. You'll also be constantly analysing campaign performance and making data-driven adjustments to improve results.
- Collaborating with the team: Working closely with our sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure our email strategy aligns with overall business goals.
- Staying ahead of the curve: Keeping up-to-date on the latest email marketing trends and best practices, and experimenting with new strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
- A/B Testing: Constantly refining your emails for better open rates and click throughs.
The Loot (aka the Perks):
- Competitive salary: £27,000 for a full-time role (prorated for the hours you start on).

- Minimum Bonus expected to be over £300 a month but bonuses are uncapped and if you’re good you can earn much more!

The Skills You'll Bring to the Table (The "Must-Haves"):
- Proven experience in email marketing (minimum 2 years).
- Expertise in email marketing platforms like [Klaviyo, HubSpot & ERPNext].
- A strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, automation, and deliverability.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Analytical skills to track and measure campaign performance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for all things email!
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience with email hosting, DNS set up and other relevant server side skills.
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Experience with A/B testing.
- A creative eye for design.
