We have a vacancy within our EHS & Facilities Department and are currently recruiting for the role of EHS & Facilities Coordinator, working 25.5 hours per week on a Fixed Term Contract (ending March 31 2026) . We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation.
Location: Accrofab Alcester Limited B49 6EH
Shift Pattern: 25.5 hours per week on the Day Shift, with designated breaks.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Create and sustain the standards for Site Facilities at all times, by:
- Create a plan for maintenance and servicing requirements for all machinery and systems affecting the site and its facilities
- Manage arrangements with suppliers of machinery/equipment & contractors who provide services to the facilities
- Manage and review contractor and supplier Risk Assessments & Method Statements along with carrying out Inductions as required
- Manage and arrange Quotes and Purchase Orders required to facilitate works by suppliers & contractors
- Create and co-ordinate emergency break down and recovery plans and procedures relating to critical equipment and systems, such as alarm systems and major production equipment
- Co-ordinate and support Insurance related activities including the Crimson Actions system
- Create and maintain Site Security Plans ranging from Day-to-Day procedures to Shut Down/Holiday periods, including Alarm process responsibilities and provide regular refresher training to key personnel
- Create control methods for responsible keyholders including audit and maintenance of the procedures
- Launch and maintain the company Van driver’s policy including vehicle maintenance plans
Participate in and support a robust “problem-solving culture” to improve EHS performance by:
- Maintaining and reporting against key performance indicators to identify problems and develop solutions
- Analysing the output of the Walk the Floor routines to report on findings against the EHS elements, and to identify problems for resolution by the operational teams and / or relevant functional teams
- Improving investigation, problem-solving and follow-up of EHS issues (correct behaviours, stop repetitive accidents and identify potential causes of accidents before they happen)
- Monitoring the resolution of identified problems for EHS, seeking acceptance of an effective solution, and ensuring that the new standards determined by this solution are maintained, and where necessary, built into the Walk the Floor routines
Participate in and support a participative and proactive culture around EHS, aligned to corporate goals and values by:
- Coordinate and carry out Environmental activities including waste oil/ scrap metals/ wood/ diesel & other fuel deliveries and collections as required
- Carry out Corrective Actions relating to Environmental issues following incidents or audit findings
- Coordinate and carry out Health & Safety activities including visual management/ WTF support/ Walkabout actions/ Job Safety Observations/ Risk Assessment reviews/ Internal Auditing/ New starter inductions when required/ H&S Training arrangements/ First Aid Training arrangements
- Carry out Investigations into incidents & accidents and produce required report
- Carry out Corrective Actions relating to Health & Safety issues following incidents or audit findings
- Operate daily in accordance with the EHS systems and support the continual development and effectiveness of the system
