Are you passionate about early childhood education and looking to join an award-winning nursery? We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join the friendly and supportive team at King’s Hawford Prep School Kindergarten.
At King’s Hawford Kindergarten it is our aim to create a happy, stimulating, home-from-home environment, which will promote the learning process for all children and where friendships and confidence flourish. Outdoor learning is at the heart of everything we do, with children able to enjoy extensive use of our beautiful rural school site. Small groups of children with generous staff ratios enable us to tailor activities to each child’s particular interest whilst our extended programme of activities includes including indoor and outdoor PE sessions, music sessions, Rugby Tots, Ballet, Forest School sessions and weekly swimming lessons.

- Providing a caring and stimulating environment for the children, in line with EYFS guidelines
- Fostering strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and inclusive environment
- Observing and assessing children’s progress, contributing to their learning journeys
- Being proactive in matters relating to safeguarding and child protection, and health and safety
What We’re Looking For
- A recognised NVQ Level 3 qualification in childcare development or equivalent
- Experience working in a nursery or early years setting and as part of a team
- An approachable, friendly and caring nature
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Working pattern
Permanent, part-time, working on a range of between 25 and 28 hours per week (plus supporting duties), between 7.30am and 6pm, year-round.
Start date: As soon as possible after 17th September 2025, subject to the successful completion of pre-employment checks.
Salary: Up to £14.78 per hour depending on skills and experience
