Early Years Practitioner (Qualified)
An opportunity has arisen to join our Glenbervie team of practitioners within our Carron setting. The perfect candidate should be forward thinking, have a sense of maturity, have a good personality, be knowledgeable in the ever changing field of Early learning and childcare and have experience of using relevant national and local documentation. Experience of working with most age groups is desirable, you should have a good understanding and knowledge of planning and observation.
You should be an enthusiastic practitioner, who can communicate effectively and have a strong work ethic. We are looking for a fully qualified practitioner to work as an effective member of an early year’s team delivering a high quality child centred service which meets the needs of children and their families.
Our setting is a family run service which places importance in relationships with children and families, a place where all are valued and cared for. We are looking for enthusiastic and inspiring individuals, to support our younger children through their early years.
You will need to be dedicated and enthusiastic, have initiative, motivation and drive and have knowledge and experience of current early learning and childcare provision and procedures.
You must be committed and proactive to continuously developing your role by undertaking training, researching current and developing practice, we need someone who can be reflective in their practice.
This post requires flexibility and relevant knowledge within all age groups.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to children in a nursery setting, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Plan and implement engaging experiences that promote early childhood development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive learning environment.
- Maintain compliance with SSSC regulations and childcare standards.
- Collaborate with team members to manage daily operations and enhance the overall nursery experience.
Job Requirements
Relevant Qualifications
You must be educated to HNC level in Early Education and Childcare or hold SNNB/HNC/SVQ3 qualifications in Childcare/Education or equivalent and be able to evidence additional learning and knowledge of current practice and legislation in relation to Early Learning and Childcare.
The successful candidate will be required to be or get registered with the Scottish Social Services Council and join the PVG scheme with an enhanced disclosure.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Pay: From £12.65 per hour
Expected hours: 38.75 per week
