Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will be, enthusiastic, motivated and have a genuine love for working with babies and young children. This role involves creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment that promotes the development of children aged 0-5 years. You will play a vital role in children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth while ensuring their wellbeing. You would be expected to work as part of our growing team and be flexible with mixing between our 0-2 and 2-5 year provision where needed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that cater to the individual needs of children.
- Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages children to explore and learn.
- Set up/Manage activities, ensuring that all children are engaged and supported in their learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child's progress and development.
- Lead by example, demonstrating positive behaviour and fostering a culture of respect and kindness.
- Observe and assess children's progress.
- Document children's achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
- Communicate well with colleagues to maintain high standards of care and education, whilst remaining professional at all times.
- Comply with health, safety, and safeguarding regulations at all times.
- Ensure good general housekeeping.
- Serve snacks & Meals to children.
- Attend regular meetings and training when requested.
- Promote and adhere to Ribbon Daycare's policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
- Level 3 Childcare Qualification (Level 2 would be considered for the perfect candidate).
- English Qualification (A-C or equivalent).
- Satisfactory DBS Clearance.
- Knowledge of the EYFS/Child Development.
- Experience of working with children in a daycare, nursery or other educational setting is desirable.
- A genuine passion for childcare and early years education.
The applicant will be required to work within the hours of 7:45am-5.30pm, Monday-Friday, on a rota basis, all year round.
