Support Worker – Driver
Location: Kings Park
13 hours per week
(Monday, Wednesday & Friday)
£12.50 per hour
We have a new, fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Driver to join our Supported Living department at The Stable Family Home Trust.
The Stable Family Home Trust was established over four decades ago with the aim of providing a caring and therapeutic environment for adults with learning disabilities. Over the years the Trust has diversified and strengthened its offer and now supports over 50 people through our seven Supported Living Homes, with demand for housing increasing all the time, and up to 100 people through our Day Services provision, across three beautiful sites in the Ringwood and Bournemouth areas.
We use a person-centred approach, seeing the person and not the disability, and work with each of them individually to help them develop their skills and confidence so they can live fulfilling and productive lives. With personalised care and support plans tailored to individual strengths and needs, our service users are empowered to live their lives with greater independence and choice, and to better understand their rights as a member of the community.

The Trust is a Registered Charity established in 1980 by a group of families whose young adult children had learning disabilities - we now support over 100 people every year.
About You:
You are a kind and compassionate person who is committed to helping people who are disadvantaged by their disability to live their best lives. You are a confident communicator and can interact with colleagues and service users in a friendly but professional manner. You have good organisational skills, are self-motivated and support the needs of the service users.
Experience in a similar role and an understanding of adults with a learning disability is desirable but we do provide the training and support you need to develop your skills and knowledge. You must be a competent and confident driver and able to work split times across the 3 days advertised.
About the Role:
You will drive from one of our Supported Living services in Kings Park each morning and drive service users to their day service in Cadnam and Romsey. You will then come back in the afternoon and collect service users from their day service, dropping them back to the service which they live in the Kings Park area. The working times for this position are as follows: Monday 8.30am to 10.30am & 3pm to 5pm; Wednesday 7.30am to 10.30am & 3pm to 5pm; and Friday 8.30am to 10.30am & 3pm to 5pm.
