Role purpose
This role owns the online content strategy, including both long and short-form content & activations across onsite, media & CRM. It manages the ecommerce animation calendar, ensuring strong activation and overseeing the production and delivery of digital-first content for key campaigns, events, online exclusives & always-on optimisations. The role also optimises asset rollouts through feedback loops and leads discussions on new content tools like Vizit (optimisation tool) and AI Translations.
Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to –
NGL Integration: Oversee the seamless & smooth migration to NGL (Nextgen LORA) for content-related priorities, ensuring all markets have access to the right content for activation.
Release Merchandising guidelines in collaboration with Shortform content writer to upskill markets on ways to ensure campaigns + Evergreen are activated to a high standard.
Own the Total Content Strategy: Establish and lead a 360-degree content ecosystem that aligns with business objectives and ensures digital content drives engagement across onsite, media & CRM for long & short form content whilst putting in place scorecards to measure compliance.
Ecommerce Animation Calendar Management: Oversee the global, local, shopping event, and BAU animation calendar, ensuring seamless end-to-end activation across .com, driving consistency and impact across regions.
Digital-First Content Production: Lead the production of elevated, sensory-driven content tailored to meet the needs of online channels, key markets during campaigns, events, online exclusives, GWP, samples, and evergreen content initiatives. Collaborate with Site Experience & Business lead to support content needs of new features & services.
Optimisation & Feedback Loop: Establish and manage an end-to-end feedback loop between local, global, and zone teams to continuously optimise asset rollouts and improve content performance across all digital platforms.
Content Tool Leadership: Lead discussions and collaboration with cross-functional teams on the adoption and implementation of content-related tools, such as Vizit and AI translation, to enhance content efficiency and reach.
This is a full-time position, operating with a hybrid working pattern of three days per week based at Aesop’s head office in London Bridge and two days per week remote.
What we are looking for
Bachelor degree or equivalent in commercial, business or marketing-related field.
Significant experience in e-commerce activation and digital content management, ideally within global or matrixed organizations.
Deep understanding of the consumer journey and commercial drivers within e-commerce, across both DTC and indirect channels.
Proven experience developing and executing digital strategies that align with business objectives and drive measurable results.
Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate consumer insights and market trends into actionable content and activation plans.
Background in marketing and/or e-commerce, with demonstrated cross-functional collaboration (e.g., with brand, creative, media, and performance teams).
Highly data-driven, with strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform content creation, targeting, and optimisation.
Creative eye and experience fuelling content creation briefs in collaboration with marketing and creative teams - balancing brand storytelling with performance goals.
Deep knowledge of best-in-class digital content and UX principles to enhance on-site engagement.
Proactive and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Strong commercial acumen combined with the ability to lead reporting, performance tracking, and continuous optimisation.
