Digital Communications Officer
Salary from £36,008 to £40,991 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £43,854 pa inclusive of London allowance
This is a fixed term appointment for 3 years
The School of Public Policy (SPP) is seeking a creative and collaborative Digital Communications Officer to support a wide range of communication and marketing activities to highlight its impact as a world-renowned public policy school.
You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to develop creative and engaging content which promotes the SPP’s global student and alumni community, faculty achievements, high-profile speaker events and world-class research. You should also be able to demonstrate expertise in managing a range of social media platforms and be able to act as an expert in their uses, audiences and appropriate content style. Furthermore, you will need to have proven expertise in using analytics to track performance of digital content and adapting to maximise engagement and marketing opportunities.
The role will form part of the LSE School of Public Policy’s marketing team and will work closely with SPP professional support staff, faculty, alumni and students as well as with communications colleagues and networks across LSE and external partners.
In particular, the post holder will focus on:
- Contributing to the development and implementation of an external communications strategy, which places an emphasis on marketing the SPP’s master’s and executive degree programmes.
- Leading on content creation, with a focus on producing high quality copy and digital content for website, social media and all external communications.
- Managing the department’s social media platforms and website.
- Collating and analysing information on communications performance and competitor activities.
- Working collaboratively with professional support staff, faculty, students, alumni, LSE departments and external partners to seek opportunities to showcase activities and maximise engagement with external audiences.
The SPP is a dynamic global community in the heart of London. It offers eight master’s programmes, including three double degree programmes with international partner universities and two executive level programmes. The department’s student community currently represents over 60 nationalities who all a passion for making an impact through public policies around the world.
