The Priory Witham Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Deputy SENDCO to join a school that makes a genuine difference to its students and supports its staff to achieve their individual goals. The Priory Witham Academy is an ‘all through’ (EYFS – 18) Academy in Lincoln that is central to the community it serves. Our dedicated team of staff are supportive and aspirant and in return benefit from a high trust, high accountability environment where our ‘open door’ policy values and celebrates the inputs of individuals to create our Academy vision.
The Deputy SENDCO is a pivotal position that will play a vital role in supporting the Academy SENCO in leading the provision for SEND, in all matters concerning students’ Additional Needs. The postholder will be proficient in liaising with multiple external agencies and stakeholders to ensure that individual SEND targets and the requirements of EHCPs are met fully. The successful applicant will have experience and knowledge of SEN to be able to support the SENDCo in managing the implementation of an inclusive curriculum.
This vacancy would suit an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about working with students with special needs, supporting them to develop from both an academic and social perspective. The successful candidate should be computer literate and have worked with MS Word, Outlook and Excel. English and Maths GCSE grade A-C are essential together with previous experience and qualifications in SEN.
