Boeing is seeking a strategic, commercially-minded influencer to join our UK & Ireland Government Affairs & Strategy team, based in Westminster, London. This role combines stakeholder engagement, industrial policy leadership, and market-shaping initiatives to strengthen Boeing’s position as a trusted partner in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, and innovation across the UK.
Working closely with senior leaders across Boeing’s businesses, you will translate political, policy, and market developments into strategies that support investment, innovation, and competitiveness, shaping the external political and policy environment accordingly.
Key Responsibilities
Through advocacy, shape UK industrial strategy, trade, and market access initiatives that enable growth in aerospace and related sectors.
Lead national and engagement with governments, industry, academia, and trade bodies to drive growth in skills, manufacturing, and technology capability.
Develop and manage innovation partnerships with the Aerospace Technology Institute, universities, and research other organisations.
Provide counsel on UK political, economic, and industrial developments, advising on business implications and strategic opportunities.
Represent Boeing at high-profile political, industry, and trade events, positioning the company as an industry leader and valued partner.
Collaborate across Boeing’s business units to align policy engagement with corporate strategy and commercial objectives.
Step in for and support teams mates covering the full range of Boeing public policy issues, including defence and space.
What We Are Looking For
Proven ability to operate at the intersection of business strategy, government policy, and stakeholder engagement.
Strong understanding structures and machinations of UK Government and devolved administrations.
Experience in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or related sectors is an advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills
Strong organisation and programme management skills
Political and commercial acumen, with the ability to anticipate risks and identify growth opportunities
This job will require regular evening work (e.g. attending events and receptions), occasional weekend work (e.g. air shows); regular UK & Ireland travel (e.g. to Northern Ireland), and occasional international travel (e.g. to Seattle, Brussels or Washington DC).
