Oxford University Department for Continuing Education (OUDCE) is seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspiring tutor to contribute to the delivery of classes on key award-bearing programmes within the local and social history portfolio.
About the role
We are looking for someone to teach on the Diploma in English Social and Local History, a 2-year, part-time Level 5 course aimed at adult learners, and the MSc in English Local History – a prestigious and sought-after two year part-time postgraduate degree aimed at advanced students. The successful candidate will become part of a team of tutors working on these courses, who are dedicated to adult education and research-led teaching. The role will suit someone with broad scholarly interests within the field of English social and local history,1400-1900.
This is a part-time (0.05FTE) position, available on a permanent contract.
About you
You will hold a doctorate in English social and/or local history, with the ability to teach and support diverse group of learners through their studies. As well as demonstrating knowledge within the subject to develop and update course materials
