Job Title: Part Time Dental Receptionist Administrator

The Dental Receptionist Administrator job is to ensure the smooth running of the Student and Private Dental Clinic, to be the main point of contact for external callers, patients and visitors and to provide administrative support..
Principal Tasks
1. Welcome patients and deal with them efficiently:
· making appointments, answering queries and incoming telephone calls.
· Contact with patients and students who do not attend clinics
2. Maintain the Patient Record filing system:
· Ensure the Patient Database is kept up to date.
3. Welcome visitors to the Clinic:
· ensuring visitors receive a professional impression of the Clinic
· Ensure that visitors sign the Visitors Book.
4. Liaise with the Clinic Manager on matters relating to clinic organisation and running
5. Deal with mail when necessary
· Opening post and distributing it to the relevant person as appropriate
· Sending out any post
6. Maintain utmost confidentiality with regard to Clinic matters and correspondence opened in Reception
General Tasks
1. Assist in maintaining a clean and tidy reception/patient waiting area.
2. Provide secretarial and general support to the Administration functions, as required.
3. Maintain Patient Confidentiality
· Be aware of the patient’s right to confidentiality and the relevant laws regarding this.
4. Assist in the maintenance of Security
· being observant of the waiting area at all times
· Ensuring that unauthorised persons are unable to gain entrance to the premises
· Alerting the appropriate personnel if you are in doubt.
Knowledge, Skills and experience required
Essential
· Experience of working as a Receptionist with Dental knowledge
· Excellent telephone manner
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Highly organised with the ability to work well under pressure and prioritise workloads
· Ability to maintain accurate records
· Confidentiality
· Excellent customer service skills
Desirable
· Knowledge of Care Stack dental software, Outlook, Access, and Excel
· Experience of working in a dental setting
Working Monday and Tuesday each week 9am-5pm
