Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and customer service, ensuring that all deli products are prepared and presented to the highest standards. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, where time management and attention to detail are essential. The Deli Associate will assist customers with their selections, provide recommendations, and maintain a clean and organised workspace.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches.
- Ensure all food items are handled in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the deli area, including equipment and utensils.
- Assist customers by providing excellent service, answering queries, and upselling products where appropriate.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during busy periods.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines in the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Strong time management skills to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards customers.
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
- A willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and customer service.
