Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality support to individuals in a care home setting. Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with mobility and physical activities to encourage independence.
- Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences.
- Follow care plans meticulously to ensure that each resident receives personalised support.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff.
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement effective home care strategies.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.
- Drive residents to appointments or outings when necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or similar environment is essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with residents and team members.
- Ability to understand and follow care plans accurately.
- A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and record keeping are advantageous.
- A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents as needed.
- Must be willing to undergo background checks and training as required by the organisation.
