Location: Near Burneside, Kendal
Hours: Full time, potential for flexible hours
We have exciting news – we’re looking for a new employee to support our customers and keep production running smoothly. We’re a small business located near Burneside, north of Kendal, designing and manufacturing bicycle components. Ratio was founded in 2018 and has since grown to seven employees. We’re now hiring for a hybrid role covering customer service and in-house CNC production.
The role is crucial to ensuring Ratio’s products are manufactured to the high standards that our customers expect. We are looking for someone who’s reliable, conscientious and self-motivated.
We’d love it if you like riding bikes/the outdoors, share our enthusiasm for building a sustainable, responsible business and are prepared to grow in your role with Ratio.
What you’ll be doing:
- Customer service via email (pre- and post-sale), resolving product and order queries.
- Operating and maintaining our 3-axis CNC mill.
- Quality control and quality assurance of manufactured parts.
- Manual production tasks such as deburring, linishing and cutting bar stock.
- Procurement of stock and consumables for production.
- Production scheduling.
- Ordering office and workshop supplies as needed.
About you:
- A level qualifications or above (desirable)
- Comfortable working with machinery and hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time management skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Interest in outdoor sports and cycling

Pay: £22,000.00-£22,500.00 per year
