We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Category Executive to join our team in Gatwick on a secondment basis to manage Ecommerce Pureplayer Customers from a category perspective, as well as driving Ecommerce expertise internally and supporting the Ecommerce Channel Development Managers.
You will manage all aspects of eCategory Management across the specified customers including, but not limited to, delivery of Range Reviews, range optimisation, taxonomy and merchandising recommendations, category data analysis and insight generation to drive total category growth for the retailer and Nestle Purina.
A day in the life of a Customer Category Executive …
Key responsibilities will include:
- Translates and tailors the local channel strategy for the individual customer.
- Be the first port of call and a trusted source for Buying/Merchandising Teams for any category questions, insight & recommendations
- Deliver continuous insight through category performance monitoring: complete regular performance updates both internally and externally, extracting insights from these sources and using them to continually bring opportunities for growth for both the customer and Purina
- Monitor new category executions (e.g. shop in shop) in other categories in order to borrow best in class examples of latest online tools and implement in pet, being seen as the pioneer of the category
- Execute merchandising activities to ensure optimisation of the Purina range, space and distribution
- Execute the fixture layout vision, collaborating with buyer/merchandiser to recommend and ensure appropriate flow, placement & space allocations
- Deliver best in class insight by managing the customer toolkits and performance scorecards, to provide the relevant level of external data to the business.
- Review and develop online capability through working closely with the SMEs to make recommendations to the retailer
What will make you successful?
We’re looking for commercially astute candidates who have the following skills and experience:
- Strong data analysis and insight generation experience
- Category experience gained with the FMCG sector is desirable
- Being able to demonstrate experience and your passion for e-Commerce is a significant advantage
- Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally within matrix /hybrid / multifunctional teams
- Ability to work under pressure to deliver exceptional results.
- Evidence of flexibility and agility, and use of initiative to solve challenges rapidly and often creatively.
- Love of learning, understanding 'why?' and ability to share this with team.
