Job role: Credit Controller
Hours: 20 hours a week

We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our expanding Finance team.
Who we are looking for?
We're looking for an individual with experience in Credit Control. A finance professional who would enjoy working with a fast-paced, friendly team! Sage experience is an essential requirement.
This role requires a proactive and forward looking individual who is comfortable applying positive pressure to customers to ensure the timely payment of our invoices. The right individual will enjoy building relationships and be comfortable both in conversation with customers and in emailing them. The person must be professional and positive, while knowing that the ultimate objective for the role is to ensure customer accounts are kept to terms.
Key responsibilities will be as follows:
- Establish a good working relationship with all of our customers, to facilitate a smooth payment process
- Plan expected cash receipts across a month, tracking actuals to forecast and understanding any variances
- Obtain early confirmation of forthcoming payments and where different to expectation immediately contact the customer to resolve the difference
- Review the customer account reconciliation as performed by the Sales Ledger clerk and follow up on differences
- Ensure the rebate process is being followed by the Sales Ledger clerk and customers are receiving the right rebate at the right time
- Work with the Sales Ledger clerk to resolve issues as they arise to facilitate payments
- Reconcile CRM to sage to ensure all invoices are being posted into our accounting system
- Identify VAT and excess payments that remain outstanding and proactively chase payments
- Process these payments through Cardnet if necessary
- Cover for the Sales Ledger clerk when they are on leave
- Other duties as may be required from time to time in Finance
