We’re looking for a skilled Creative Retoucher, to join our Visualisation Team at JLR in Gaydon. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the visual identity of one of the world’s most iconic automotive brands, working at the intersection of creativity and technology.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for enhancing 3D renders and photographic composites, ensuring every image reflects the precision and elegance of JLR design. You’ll collaborate closely with CGI Artists, Art Directors, and wider creative teams to produce compelling visuals for global campaigns, digital platforms, and product launches.

WHAT TO EXPECT
This is a hands-on position with plenty of scope to make an impact. Key responsibilities will include –
- Refine 3D renders through colour correction, compositing, and the application of visual effects to enhance realism and impact
- Convert 32-bit render outputs into 16-bit and 8-bit deliverables while maintaining visual integrity and consistency
- Seamlessly integrate CGI vehicles into photographic environments—and vice versa—using photo-bashing techniques and photographic lighting principles
- Perform detailed image clean-up, including dust removal, surface retouching, and lens correction to ensure polished final assets
- Organise and manage digital files with strong version control practices, ensuring assets are easily accessible and up to date
- Collaborate with Art Directors to interpret creative briefs and maintain alignment with brand standards and visual identity
- Support and mentor junior retouchers, sharing knowledge and best practices in CGI post-production and image enhancement
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
The ideal candidate will have a strong mix of experience, recognised training, and capabilities such as –
- 3D CGI retouching experience preferred over pure traditional photography retouching
- Proficient in ‘Back to Beauty’ workflow, render passes, Cryptomattes, compositing, and standard CGI pipelines
- Deep understanding of photography principles and terminology
- Excellent eye for composition, colour harmony, balance, and fine detail
- Advanced skills in Photoshop
- Proven track record of converting high-dynamic-range renders into final deliverables
- Strong file-management habits and ability to maintain organised asset libraries and files
- Effective communicator and patient mentor, able to guide other
