This is an exciting opportunity to join the Acute Medicine Team in a permanent Consultant post at Fairfield General Hospital. We are looking for a doctor who can provide expert acute medical care. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates who have a complementary sub speciality interest in another medical speciality, intensive care medicine or eating disorders.
This is an exciting time to join the team as you will be part of a hospital and medical department currently undergoing a period of innovation and development. The successful candidate will be joining our innovative team of 13 Consultants. GIRFT data from January 2024 placed Fairfield Hospital 1st in the country for % of patients discharged within 4 days from hospital (72 hr pathway) and for the number of patients aged 75 years plus discharged within 3 days (48 hr acute pathway).
The post is a substantive post and therefore essential criteria include Full GMC Registration with entry onto the specialist register (or proposed date for entry to the register within 6 months of appointment) in Acute Medicine or General Internal Medicine +/- another complementary speciality. We welcome less than full time applications and are willing to discuss flexible working arrangements. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a commitment to Acute Medicine.
If you would like to work in a dynamic, caring, inclusive and forward-thinking environment where innovation is welcomed, then we would welcome your application.
