Applications are invited for a new whole-time, or maximum part-time, post of Consultant Paediatric Oncologist at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. The successful candidate will be one of four Paediatric Oncologists supporting, expanding and developing the existing services to children with solid tumours in the West of Scotland. Opportunity for the development of an individual candidate’s special interest will be encouraged within the service, and candidates with experience and an interest in Neuro-Oncology will be welcomed.
The appointee will be expected to care for patients collaboratively with the existing Oncology team and to implement areas of special interest which complement the work of the Department. Applicants with an interest and previous experience in neuro-oncology will be encouraged to develop this service. All other responsibilities can be subject to discussion. The appointee will share responsibility for inpatient care and participation in clinics.
