Applications are invited for the above position within Acute (Internal) Medicine and Infectious Diseases in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. This a new post to supplement our current model of Acute Medical Receiving and Infectious Diseases medicine.
We are looking for a new colleague to help us deliver excellent medical care within our Acute Medical Unit including Ambulatory Assessment Area and Short Stay Medicine, with involvement in pan-Tayside call handling for medicine. Ninewells Hospital Acute Medicine has a 1 in 30 weekday Acute Medical Receiving rota with 1 in 12 weekend rota and a separate medicine overnight on-call rota.
Within Infectious Diseases, the successful applicant will input to inpatient work, bacteraemia consultant sessions, orthopaedic infection and high consequence infectious disease preparedness and with potential input to OPAT and HIV medicine.
In addition, the successful applicant will take part in postgraduate training and education along with opportunities to collaborate in research, and quality improvement.
Candidates should possess MRCP and be on the GMC Specialist Register in General or Acute Internal Medicine or be within 6 months of the anticipated award of CCT or CESR (CP) at the time of interview for the post.
