Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Labourer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new skills on the job.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople in various construction tasks including but not limited to carpentry, masonry, and plumbing.
- Carry out site preparation activities such as clearing debris and setting up scaffolding.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Load and unload materials from lorries and move them to designated areas on-site.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and protocols at all times.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials (up to 25 kg).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and safety equipment is preferred.
- A valid driving licence is an advantage for transporting materials when necessary.
