Overview
PCL Presents are looking for a booker to lead programming at a new venue opening soon in central Scotland. As well as curating the programming at a grassroots music venue, the role will also provide the opportunity to develop relationships with artists and agents and promote shows on a larger level beyond the venue itself.
Candidates must also either be based in, or be willing to relocate to, central Scotland.
We are particularly interested in candidates who are able to show evidence of independent working and an ambitious mindset within the world of events promotion. This is a role for someone with a proven track record of successful concert bookings who is ready to take the next step in their career as a promoter.
Responsibilities will include:
- Booking and promoting a busy events schedule at a grassroots music venue
- Managing the events diary and liaising with external hires
- Overseeing on-site event management
- Collaborating with our marketing team to promote the venue and its events
- Overseeing the technical team and ensuring the venue is maintained to a high standard
- Working closely with the bar manager to maximise opportunities for the business as whole
Experience:
- A proven track record of promoting successful events is essential.
- An understanding of the current music market and potential breakout artists is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred, with the ability to resolve issues professionally.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

PCL Presents is an events company running concerts across Scotland and the north of England from grassroots music venue level all the way up to arenas and stadiums. We are keen to actively support a booker with the ambition to build artists up to higher levels, and a successful candidate will be encouraged to promote shows beyond the venue as they continue to develop. Additionally, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on festival line ups and other events.
